What happened?
Egypt’s Nuclear Power Plants Authority announced on 24 October that installation of the pressurizer had begun in the first Dabaa reactor unit.
Details and context
The milestone follows the installation of four steam generators. The pressurizer helps regulate coolant pressure in the reactor’s primary circuit, according to the authority.
Why it matters
This is a construction milestone, not a declaration that the plant is operational. Further installation and testing stages remain necessary.
